My studio is situated in a 100 yr. old textile factory, called the “Fabrica Aurora” (Aurora Factory) and my space is specifically located in the old stone Foundry, where all the metal tools were made to use in the processing of the textiles.
These recent works feature aged objects found on the historic grounds, such as metals, spindles, and iron pieces. I also incorporate pieces of the same fabrics, like the one produced here, “Manta” or 100 % natural cotton. These pieces are tributes to the San Miguel community.
I am honored to work in this legendary space.
